US Imposes New Sanctions on Russia, Involving CN Suppliers

The US imposed hundreds of new sanctions on Russia on Wednesday over the war in Ukraine, aiming at cracking down on Moscow's circumvention of Western measures.

The US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on nearly 200 targets, and the State Department designated over 80 targets. Of which, the US imposed sanctions on 20 companies in China and Hong Kong.

The sanctions also included nearly 60 targets in Azerbaijan, Belgium, China, Russia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Slovakia, which it accused of enabling Russia to "obtain urgently needed technology and equipment from abroad."
