The HSI opened 12 points or 0.1% higher at 18,488. The HSCEI opened 6 points or 0.1% higher at 6,553. The HSTECH opened 10 points or 0.3% higher at 3,982. For automakers, BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) slid 0.6% after it proposed to launch car purchase discounts of up to RMB18,000 for each model in Wangchao Network, while its peer XPENG-W (09868.HK) shed 2%. GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) dropped 0.8% as it intended to spend US$320 million to subscribe shares of its subsidiary, Zeekr, for its IPO in the US. For techs, BABA-SW (09988.HK), TENCENT (00700.HK), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and JD-SW (09618.HK) added 0.1-0.4%, while BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) picked up 0.8% and 1.3%.
