The HSI concluded the day rallying 241 points or 1.2% at 21,133. The HSCEI rose 93 points or 1.2% to close at 7,784. The HSTECH climbed 90 points or 1.8%, closing at 5,150. The total market turnover for the day amounted to $246.373 billion. Among tech stocks, with broker reports predicting that AI will benefit SaaS stocks, KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) and WEIMOB INC (02013.HK) were hyped up by 14.8% and 10.7%. CHINASOFT INT'L (00354.HK) also swelled 5%. DeepSeek has halted API service top-ups due to server resource strain. Server supplier LENOVO GROUP (00992.HK) soared 6.3%. Cloud service stock GDS-SW (09698.HK) gained 3.1%, but KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK) fell 2.1%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) retreated 2.6% and 2.8%, yet SMIC once hit a fresh high of $49.15. The smart driving concept was favored. HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) mushroomed 10.4%. Car stocks GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) spiked 8% and 7.6%, while BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and GWMOTOR (02333.HK) added 4.5% and 5.3%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) will launch two high-end models at the end of the month, with the SU7 Ultra's annual sales target set at more than 10,000 units. Its stock price advanced 4.7% to $42.45 and notched a new intraday high of $43.05. Regarding other tech stocks, MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) inclined 2.7%, while TENCENT (00700.HK), KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and BABA-W (09988.HK) escalated 1.5-1.9%.
