CN MIIT to Launch New National Science & Tech Projects in Emerging Fields Incl. Humanoid Robots

Li Lecheng, Party Secretary of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), revealed that the MIIT will launch a series of new national science and technology major projects in emerging fields including humanoid robots and atomic-level manufacturing, Chinese media reported. With those major projects, the MIIT aims to optimize the innovation platform network, as well as to encourage and support foreign enterprises to establish R&D centers in China. It also intends to assist foreign enterprises in participating in the transformation and connection of achievements and innovation and entrepreneurship platforms and accelerating the transformation and implementation of advanced technology products and solutions in China by issuing the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting High-Quality Development of the Technology Service Industry".
