The Economic Crime Investigation Division of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau has announced the recent bust of a commercial bribery case involving senior executives at an internet company, with the amount involved exceeding RMB40 million.

According to Chinese media reports, those implicated include Han Liu, former CEO of Ele.me and head of the instant logistics center under BABA-W (09988.HK).

As indicated by the authorities, the company discovered during an internal audit in May 2025 that a suspect with a surname Han and others had used their positions to help suppliers secure premium delivery zones and accepted bribes in return.
