According to a report from HSBC Research, Macau's GGR for the first 17 days of August reached MOP12.1 billion, with a daily average of MOP711 million, maintaining the same level as July and around 11% higher than the same period in 2024. With improvements in the demand for the mass market and VIP segments, the broker is expecting August GGR to see a YoY increase of 9-15%. If the average daily GGR for the remainder of the month remains between MOP680 million and MOP760 million, the total monthly GGR will be MOP21.6-22.7 billion. In terms of stock selection, HSBC Research continued to favor MGM CHINA (02282.HK) for its low base and Cotai project expansion, which are likely to accelerate growth in 2H25. The broker also recommended GALAXY ENT (00027.HK), believing that the newly opened Capella hotel, along with a rich array of activities, will attract high-end demand. Both MGM CHINA and GALAXY ENT were given a Buy rating, with target prices of HKD18.8 for the former and HKD45.5 for the latter. AAStocks Financial News |
