<H Shrs>HSI Ends Up 496 Pts; Techs Lead Charge; KUAISHOU-W Brisk

The HSI ended the day up 496 points or 2% at 25,716. The HSCEI rose 159 points or 1.8% to close at 9,079. The HSTECH swelled 150 points or 2.8%, closing at 5,545. The total market turnover for the day amounted to HKD302.642 billion. Hang Seng Indexes Company announced the results of its quarterly review. INNOVENT BIO (01801.HK) was added to the HSI and HSCEI, lifting its stock price by 5.4%. CHINAHONGQIAO (01378.HK) and YUM CHINA (09987.HK) gained 0.5% and 1.7%. Both of them were added to the HSCEI. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK), added to the HSTECH, rallied 5.8%. ASMPT (00522.HK), removed from the HSTECH, slid 0.5%. NEW ORIENTAL-S (09901.HK) and HAIDILAO (06862.HK) climbed 1% and 0.5%, while ENN ENERGY (02688.HK) fell 2.1%. All three of them were removed from the HSCEI. Among other tech stocks, BABA-W (09988.HK), set to release its quarterly results tomorrow (25th), surged 4.7%. NTES-S (09999.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) soared 5.9% and 7.1%. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) rocketed 5.7% and 4.2%. TENCENT (00700.HK) and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) shot up 2.4% and 2.7%. With JingDong Industrials having passed the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing hearing, JD-SW (09618.HK) grew 1.9%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) added 1.5%. In addition, MEITU (01357.HK), CHINA LIT (00772.HK), KINGSOFT CLOUD (03896.HK), GDS-SW (09698.HK), and TME-SW (01698.HK) jumped 4.5-5.5%. KINGDEE INT'L (00268.HK) escalated 4.1%. Chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) slid 1.1% and 4.9% amid reports saying that the US is discussing the sale of Nvidia H200 chips to China. Some smart driving concept stocks rebounded, with HESAI-W (02525.HK) and WERIDE-W (00800.HK) skyrocketing 8.1% and 9.7%. HORIZONROBOT-W (09660.HK) also went up 4.7%.
