Candidates for the position of HSBC HOLDINGS (00005.HK) Chairman, including former UK Chancellor George Osborne, have been asked to present their views on HSBC's strategy and governance to the board in early December to finalize a successor for Mark Tucker, Sky News reported.

Osborne, and at least one other candidate, who is rumored to be former McKinsey CEO and Goldman Sachs Asia executive Kevin Sneader, are expected to meet with HSBC board members, which includes interim chairman Brendan Nelson, the report cited a source close to HSBC as saying.
