<H Shrs>HSI Opens 86 Pts Higher, but MEITUAN-W Weakens Post-results; SERES Leaps 4%+

Hong Kong stocks opened higher in the morning session. The HSI opened 86 points or 0.3% higher at 25,945. The HSCEI opened 28 points or 0.3% higher at 9,158. The HSTECH opened 11 points or 0.2% higher at 5,611. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) swung to loss in 3Q, with a non-IFRS loss of over RMB16 billion, in line with forecast, denting its share price by 2.3% to $100.1. For other techs, BABA-W (09988.HK) added 1% to $153, while TENCENT (00700.HK) ticked up 0.3% to $613.5. JD-SW (09618.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) slid 0.7% and 0.1%, while NTES-S (09999.HK) climbed 1.3%. KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) gained 0.7% and 0.6%, while chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) lifted 0.1% and 0.7%. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) jumped up 0.5% to $41.24 as its Xiaomi Auto delivered over 40,000 units in November. SERES (09927.HK) leaped 4.3% to $120 after being added to the Southbound Stock Connect list. For other automakers, GEELY AUTO (00175.HK) and BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) ascended 0.4% and 0.5%, while LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) inched up 0.3% and 0.7%.
