The East Line of Light Rapid Transit System (LRT) of Macau is nearly half completed, with 1 kilometer of the 3-kilometer underwater tunnel from Taipa to Macau already constructed, Macau Daily News reported. The progress is in line with expectations, and the project is expected to be completed and operational by 2029. By then, the Macau LRT will connect important ports such as the Border Gate Inspection Building, Taipa Ferry Terminal, Macau International Airport, and Hengqin Port.
