The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) forecasted that Hong Kong's exports will grow by 8-9% YoY next year, primarily benefiting from strong demand for AI-related electronic products. The HKTDC released the 4Q25 Export Confidence Index survey showing that the current index fell from 53.3 in 3Q25 to 51.4, while the expected index decreased from 54.3 to 51.9, but still remains above the expansion range of 50, indicating that exports are likely to continue growing. 53.2% of surveyed exporters believe that the rising demand for AI or new technology-related electronic consumer goods will be the main driver of business growth next year, with electronic products currently accounting for over 70% of Hong Kong's total export value.
