Hong Kong stocks prospered this morning. The HSI gained 136 points or 0.5% to 25,634. The HSCEI lifted 51 points or 0.6% to 8,893. The HSTECH added 43 points or 0.8% to 5,461. TikTok, Oracle (ORCL.US) and others formed an US joint venture, with ByteDance retained US e-commerce and advertising operations. Techs inclined within a narrow range at open, with BABA-W (09988.HK) ticking up 0.6% to $145. JD-SW (09618.HK) ascended 0.7%, while TENCENT (00700.HK) and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) climbed 0.8%. NTES-S (09999.HK) jumped up 1.4%, while BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) leaped 0.3% and 1.3% respectively. BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) ballooned 1.2%, while chip stocks SMIC (00981.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) mounted 1.2% and approx. 1%. Automakers BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) and LI AUTO-W (02015.HK) inched up 0.4% and 0.2%, while XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and XPENG-W (09868.HK) elevated 0.6% and 2.5% each.
