China's Ministry of Education (MOE) held a press conference today (30th), where Zhou Dawang, Director of the Department of Science, Technology, and Informatization of the MOE, remarked that the MOE initiated the implementation of the National Education Digitalization Strategy Action 2.0 this year. This includes intelligentization as one of the strategic directions, deepening the comprehensive application of AI in the education sector, and achieving phased progress in five areas, including strengthening top-level design, enhancing policy guidance, conducting educational training, and improving intelligent literacy. Zhou mentioned that the next step for the MOE is to keep advancing the AI empowerment education initiative, with plans to release relevant policy documents next year. These documents will systematically deploy the advancement of AI education and applications, building an education system oriented towards the future.
