In December, China's non-manufacturing business activity index (PMI) returned to the expansion zone at 50.2, higher than the market expectation of 49.6 and up by 0.7 ppts from the previous month, according to data released by the Service Industry Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. Meanwhile, China's composite PMI output index grew by 1.0 ppt from the previous month to 50.7, indicating an expansion in the overall production and business activities compared to the previous month.
