A new large-scale analysis published in The BMJ found that the positive effects of weight-loss drugs on body weight and cardiovascular health disappeared in less than two years on average after the treatment stopped, Reuters reported.

The study analyzed data from 37 clinical trials involving more than 9,000 people with obesity or overweight who had been treated with 18 different weight-loss drugs.
