The Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the State Administration of Taxation (SAT) recently issued an announcement clarifying that export tax rebates for photovoltaic products and other goods will be abolished effective 1 April 2026, Li Xianzhong, director general of the Treasuring Department at the MOF, said. Export tax rebates for electronic products will also be phased out over a 2-year period.

This adjustment in export tax rebate policy will facilitate the efficient use of resources, guide the rational adjustment of industrial structures, comprehensively addressing disordered 'involutionary' competition, and promoting high-quality economic development, Li added.
