With the Lunar New Year (LNY) approaching, Hong Kong residents are increasingly opting for short-to-medium-haul trips within the Asia-Pacific region during this long holiday period, Trip.com, the international one-stop travel service platform under TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK), released its latest travel data saying. This trend reflects robust recovery in the travel market and sustained stable demand. The average trip length for Hong Kong travelers during 2026 LNY holiday was approx. 7.7 days, according to Trip.com's flight data. Around 40% of Hong Kong travelers booked their trips 31 to 60 days in advance, with nearly half making reservations more than two months ahead. Similar trends were also observed in other markets such as Taiwan, Singapore and Japan, indicating that travelers across regions are planning well in advance for the long LNY holiday period.
