European bourses advanced in early trading on Tuesday (10th). As US President Donald Trump stated that the Iran war will end very soon, market was optimistic about stability in the Middle East, and a plunge in oil prices boosted the stock market. Investors were watchful of comments from ECB President Christine Lagarde and Vice President Luis de Guindos. The pan-European STOXX 600 rose 10.72 points or 1.8% to 605.64. The UK FTSE 100 lifted 143 points or 1.4% to 10,393. The French CAC 40 hiked 131 points or 1.7% to 8,047. The German DAX soared 505 points or 2.2% to 23,914. The Spanish IBEX 35 leaped 397 points or 2.4% to 17,326. The Italian FTSE MIB mushroomed 980 points or 2.2% to 45,005. Prosus, an investment company under Tencent's major South African shareholder Naspers, spiked 8.5% in early European trading. International oil prices slumped, leading to a decline in oil stocks, with BP down 3%, Shell down 2%, and TotalEnergies (TTE) down 2.4% but EON up 2.9%.
