TENCENT (00700.HK) recently announced the launch of SkillHub, an AI Skills community optimized for Chinese users. SkillHub is a localized supporting service platform built on OpenClaw's official open-source ecosystem.

OpenClaw's founder, Peter Steinberger, was asked on social media whether he was aware of TENCENT establishing SkillHub and extracting skill data from ClawHub. He responded that he had received an email complaining about official server rate limits preventing rapid data extraction.

He accused TENCENT of plagiarism saying that it did not support the project in any way, and claimed that such high-frequency data extraction caused server costs to soar to five digit amount in USD per month.

TENCENT replied under the post saying that SkillHub is merely a local mirror site for Chinese users, and the platform has cited ClawHub as the original source.

Meanwhile, TENCENT distributed 180GB of user traffic and approx. 870,000 downloads in the first week of launch, but only synchronized about 1GB of data from the official source, thereby helping to alleviate traffic on the official server.
