POP MART (09992.HK) filed a lawsuit against Bambu Lab at the end of February over copyright ownership and infringement disputes. Bambu is actively advancing communication with POP MART to explore possibilities for settlement and cooperation, Chinese news broke. The lawsuit originated from Bambu's 3D model community MakerWorld, which contained a large number of unauthorized POP MART popular IP printing data models. Users can simply download the models and use Bambu printers to "duplicate" dolls like LABUBU, even for profit-making purposes. POP MART's legal team had sent letters to Bambu twice last year, in May and October, to address platform infringement issues, until formally filing a lawsuit early this year, Chinese media quoted a person close to POP MART as revealing. Bambu's executives are actively communicating with POP MART to seek possibilities for settlement and cooperation, with both parties' legal and business departments awaiting the results of management-level discussions, sources divulged. Upon inquiries, as of now, Bambu's MakerWorld community has completely removed POP MART-related models, but the model data is still circulating among enthusiast communities. Currently, the case is being handled by the People's Court of Shanghai Pudong New Area, with the trial date set for April 2, 2026. AASTOCKS Financial News Website: www.aastocks.com |
