<Warning>POWERLONG Expects 2025's Loss to Widen to ~RMB6.6-7B

POWERLONG (01238.HK) issued a profit warning, expecting 2025's loss to range between approximately RMB6.6 billion and RMB7 billion, compared to a loss of about RMB5.498 billion in 2024. The core losses attributable to the owners of the Company was expected to be between approximately RMB3.4 billion and RMB3.8 billion in 2025, compared to core losses of about RMB3.084 billion in 2024. The expected increase in the loss for the year ended 31 December 2025 as compared to the year ended 31 December 2024 was mainly attributable to (1) the continuous impact of the severe operating environment in the real estate industry, which resulted in (i) the provision of impairment for property projects based on the principle of prudence; (ii) the decrease in fair value of investment properties; and (2) the decrease in share of results of joint ventures and associates.
