The HSI opened 87 points or 0.4% lower at 24,768. The HSCEI dropped 12 points or 0.1% to 8,377. The HSTECH fell 20 points or 0.4% to 4,740.

Several blue-chip stocks have announced their results. MEITUAN-W (03690.HK) opened down 0.6% at HKD86.15. It reported an adjusted EBITDA loss of RMB14.025 billion for 4Q25. SMIC (00981.HK) lost 2% despite a 9% increase in its annual net profit. CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK) remained flat at HKD77.5. It logged a 0.9% drop in annual net profit but increased its final dividend. This year's capital expenditure is expected to reach RMB136.6 billion. HAIER SMARTHOME (06690.HK) receded 3.5%. With a 4.4% growth in its annual net profit, it plans to spend RMB3-6 billion to repurchase A-shares.

PING AN (02318.HK) opened declining 1.1%, even though it saw its annual net profit grow 7% YoY. CNOOC (00883.HK) edged down 0.8%, as its annual net profit sank 12%. SINO BIOPHARM (01177.HK) stayed unchanged at HKD5.82. Its annual underlying profit surged 31%.

Among tech stocks, TENCENT (00700.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) slid 0.9% and 1.3% at open. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) shed 1.5%. JD-SW (09618.HK) inched 0.4% higher. BABA-W (09988.HK) was intact at HKD123.

Carmaker BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) opened 2.7% higher at HKD105.5. XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) edged down 0.4%. LEAPMOTOR (09863.HK) remained steady at HKD46.44.
